Several years ago, in conjunction with the East Central PA Counter Terrorism Taskforce, Berks County rolled out an on-line tool called the Special Needs Survey.  This unique tool allows individuals with special needs, such as physical or mental disabilities to register in a secure on-line database.  In times of disaster, county EMA can access this database and rapidly determine those individuals that would need extra assistance in either evacuating or sheltering in place within your community. Please take a moment and check it out here.
